I know that It don´t seem to be really credible but it was curious for me to do the test and read the different explanations.

In the first part, angles, i had 15 out of 20 that I foud this test neither hard nor easy and, as it is said in the web, my brain has male and female traits at this point.

In the part that you have to spot the differences I had 71% that is common in a female brain type.

About the hands test I have to say that the right side of my brain is dominant. I think that this is not important to know if you have a male or female brain but It gives you information about what kind of things do you do better when your dominant part of the brain is one or the other.

In the part 3, emotions and systems my empathy score was 15 out of 20 and my systemizing score was 5 out of 20. Following this thematic line I scored in the eye test 8 out of 10. This is to know if you judge well people emotions. People with female brain type score high in this test.

Then you have to measure your ring and index fingers of both hands. I scored 1.02 and 1.01 in each hand (right and left respectively) that is typical of a female brain type too

In the part that you have to choice a different faces my decisions suggested that I prefer masculine faces but I have to say that I wasn´t really aware about what I was chosen.

In the 3D test I scored 11 out of 12 that suggest that I have a male brain type, curious… But in the words test everything suggested that my brain was a female brain.

Finally, I don´t know what is, the ultimate test, trying to show. As I read is that people with lower testosterone level tend to not take too much for theirselves.

In conclusion, I think that is funny to do that test but I don´t find really scientific the explanations about why something means that you have more of a kind of brain than the other one.
PART 1:

This task tested your ability to identify the angle of a line by matching it with its twin.

Your score: 8 out of 20

Average score for men: 15.1 out of 20

Average score for women: 13.3 out of 20

What does my result suggest?

I have more of a female brain. Scientists believe that people with a female brain find it more difficult to judge the slope of a line because they're not wired for spatial tasks.

SPOT THE DIFFERENCES

This task tested your ability to identify which objects changed position.

Your score: 36%

Average score for men: 39%

Average score for women: 46%

What does my score suggest?

You may have a balanced female-male brain.

PART 2

My right thumb is on top when I clasped my hands together.

Right thumb on top: This suggests the left half of your brain is dominant.

PART 3

This task looked at whether you prefer to empathise or systemise.

Empathising

Your empathy score is: 13 out of 20

Average score for men: 7.9 out of 20

Average score for women: 10.6 out of 20

What does my result suggest?

Empathisers are better at accurately judging other people's emotions and responding appropriately. Women in general are better at empathising.

Systemising

Your systemising score is: 7 out of 20

Average score for men: 12.5 out of 20

Average score for women: 8.0 out of 20

What does my result suggest?

Systemisers prefer to investigate how systems work. Men in general are better at systemising.

EYES

This task tested your ability to judge people's emotions.

Your score: 7 out of 10

Average score for men: 6.6 out of 10

Average score for women: 6.6 out of 10

What does my result suggest?

I am a good empathiser, sensitive to other people's emotions. Women generally fall into this category.

PART 4

We asked you to measure your ring and index fingers. Your ratios came to:

Right Hand: 1.1

Left Hand: 1.1

Average ratio for men: 0.982

Average ratio for women: 0.991

It's thought that your ratio is governed by the amount of testosterone you were exposed to in your mother's womb. Men generally have a ring finger that is longer than their index finger, which gives them a lower ratio than women, whose ring and index fingers are usually of equal length.

PART 5

This task looked at how you rate the attractiveness of a series of faces. Your choices suggest you prefer more masculine faces.

PART 6

This task tested your ability to mentally rotate 3D shapes.

Your score: 11 out of 12

Average score for men: 8.2 out of 12

Average score for women: 7.1 out of 12

What does my result suggest?

If you scored 10 - 12: Are you an engineer or do you have a science background? People with these skills tend to score in this range. Past studies have concluded that people in this range have a more male brain.

WORDS

This task looked at your verbal fluency.

My score:I associated 3 words with grey and I named 3 words that mean happy.

Average score for men: 11.4 words total

Average score for women: 12.4 words total

What does my result suggest?I am more of the strong, silent type with a male brain.Women are said to use both sides of the brain when doing verbal tasks while men mainly use their left side. Studies have shown that girls develop vocabulary faster than boys. This difference in brain power is caused by levels of pre-natal testosterone.

ULTIMATITUM

This task asked you how you would divide money.

So far on the Sex ID test, men have demanded 51.6% of the pot and women have demanded 51.0% on average.

What does my response suggest?

Sex differences are small in this task. Demanding less than 60% of the pot (ie £30) is more typically female.

Scientists believe that people with lower testosterone levels tend to take fewer risks so they are probably more willing to keep less for themselves. The results said that I have a male type brain ; As I found it very surprising, I asked my boyfriend to do it as well, and he was said to have a female type brain; which doesn’t make sense at all to me… A woman scores like a man, and a man scores like a woman… there has to be something wrong with the test for sure.

In addition, I disagree with some statements concerning the tasks: for example, in “angles” (part 1) it says that good scores are related to high levels of testosterone; which isn’t true in my case, because I got 20/20 and my blood tests show that I always have the levels of testosterone under the average..

I also think that the “ultimatum” task should have been more specific, in the sense that it doesn’t mention anything about who did more in the work. Ignoring that, the most logical thing to do is to divide the amount in 2 (50% for each one)

On the other hand, some parts had a scientific base; such as the fingers task or the thumbs test. I saw a national geographic documentary about the effects of the exposure to testosterone on the fingers, and it matches perfectly with the results. The second task was right about me: I put my left thumb on top and the neurologist told me that my right side of the brain is dominant.

In conclusion, I must say that it is a very entertaining test, but not to be taken into account; (or at least not in every part) because most of the tasks statements are based on the average results of each gender and not on the real effect hormones can have in these differences between men and women.

All we think that women cry more than men, and they're more stronger emotionally.Girls prefer shopping, and boys play football with friends. But we know that now a day we can find men who likes to pluck, dance ballet, cry with a good movie. And for women it's the same, they're competitive,we like to watch basketball,or drive a formula 1. What i'm saying is: we are not so different that we think. Who cares if you are female, or male in a test? Our conduct is not only the result of our hormonal influence. We are more than that..We are able to develop our emotional intelligence.

The best part I had was the one in which there were photographs and I had to check if there were changes between the first time I saw them and the second one.

The most difficult part, for me ,was in which they wanted you to remember animals coloured(in yellow, red, green or blue), and in different spots of the screen, and it was shown so quickly that the most I could remember were three of them ;also the part of the test in which there are shown numbers, one after another, and you have to remeber the list(I have to say that I remember them all, but was quite difficult).

The most boring part for me was asking questions , in which I had to say if I forget to do different things and how often.

I have chosen the test "explore your memory" because I wanted to know how is my memory at the moment.

I have spent a long time on the test, around 30 minutes.

It has ten different parts and each one explore different aspects of working memory like visual recognition memory, digit span, spatial manipulation...

I think that the first part of the test, in which they examined your visual recognition memory whith different changes in photos, was the most funny and entertaining part. Also I think that the most easy part was the number 8 called "man and ball",in which they tested your spatial memory. In this part, you had to form and rotate a mental image of a man and say which of his hands held the blue ball. I had a good results in this one.

In the other hand, the most boring part of the test for me was the last one, in which they asked you about your lifestyle. The test number 2 was so difficult for me. In this test "memory binding-colours and shapes" they asked you to remember three things about a series of objects: colour, shape and screen position.I was able to remember the details of 2 shapes. The number 4 "visual memory capacity-grid squares" was difficult too.

In my opinion, this test is very interesting. It contribute an interesting information about my memory:

my ability to remember evens from the past is better than my ability to remember to do things that I had planned to do.

The test contains six parts with a lot of questions in each one so it takes me 30 minutes to finish .It demostrates how the brain and the different hormones can influence in the decisions of our daily life.

According to the results, women are much better noticing details, empathiser and more sensitive to facial expressions than men. In addition to, the levels of testosterone before birth are higher in women and stimulate the development of the right hemisphere of the brain, which contols the spatial awareness, visual and intuitive processes.

In my own test, I have discovered that I have a female behaviour and I prefer masculine faces in order to chose my sexual partner. The right side of my brain is dominant because I had got a bad mark in the last part of the test in which I had to identify figures with the same shape but situated in different angles in a short time.

I have done it in 15-20 minutes

I agree with my classmates that some parts are harder than others.

The test consists of nine parts, I will explain each part:

-Fist part: Visual recognition memory, in which you have to spot the difference between two pictures.

I failed all of them, it shows that we often take in only enough information to allow us to recognize what´s important at the time, and we don´t pay attention to every detail.

-Second part: Memory binding: you have to remember three things about a series of objects (colour, shape and screen position). Memory binding relates to your ability to tie things together in your working memory and update them when they change.7

I found this test easier than the previous

-Third part: Digit span: “ verbal working memory capacity”: You have to remember several numbers in short periods in time.

Every time you have to remember more numbers than before.

I've got to remember all the numbers of all series.

-4º part: “Visual memory capacity”: Grid square. You had to reproduce patterns that got progressively bigger and more difficult to remember.

This is the easiest part for me, too.

-5º part: Everyday objects: you have to answer questions about detailsof everyday objects.

I failed all of them.

-6º part: Spot the difference: Delayed recall.

You see a photo during 20 seconds and later, you have to find the difference a few minutes later.

I think it´s difficult, because the change isn´t important.

-7º part: Sentences: “ working memory span”: You have to remember the last word of many sentences. I think it´s easy when you have to remember 2 or 3 words, but later it becomes more difficult.

-8º part: Man and ball: “spatial manipulation in working memory”. You had to form and rotate a mental image of the man and say which of his hands held the blue ball.

I have hit all the positions of the ball, so I think I have good spatial memory

-9º part: Lifestyle questions. You have to answer some question about your life. To me, this is the boriest part, because it is less entertaining than the others.
